Traxxas Sprirt...yes or no?

Hey guys...i drive nitro and I've never had an electric and i need your opinions.

well, my little brother wants to get into RC. i dont think he is old enough for nitro yet so i was wanting to get him into electrics first.

do any of you know how good the traxxas spirit is...i mean its cheap like $100 and i was wondering if its worth it.

is it fast? how fast? durable? how durable?

you know, stuff like that. please help me get some info...i have looked all over the web for this, but i think you guys are my only hope.

I'm not familiar with that one. I would get the electric Rustler. Lots of parts and upgrades available, and for an all around ride, it's pretty slick right out of the box.

I total agree with Rolex I have one that I share with my son hes 6 and its a great truck very very durable so far it has taken anything I could throw in its path except one a parked car lol but all that did was break the control are which was like a 8 dollar repair. My son has a blast with it and its easy for him to control its perfect for a beginner check ebay you can get a decent one cheap, I got the one we have for under 120 and it came with 3 batteries and a charger good luck. That cool you are helping your brother in to the hobby it will help him keep busy and out of trouble hehe

I agree with both of them the rustler is abit more but your brother wont out grow it any time soon plus he can make it faster when he gets the hang of it. The sprint is just a go forward go backward and low speed and no aftermarket parts very basic truck
The rustler is something he will be happy with in a few years
