Ratzo, i understand what your saying and I too have had hands on with both.....When the Savage LE came out i put an order in for one...in the mean time i got a chance to drive another guys LE before mine arrived......lets just say i was so disapointed that i didnt even touch mine when it came, just turned around and sold it.
I've since driven the Savage 4.6 SS...and again, you can even upgrade a Savage to the biggest HP BB out there, i still think their a junk truck!!
I much prefer my CEN Genesis LE over the Savage.....and my next purchase is a Black Revo of my own, so i can give my son and his Blue Revo fits...lol.

I just thought this old thread was funny....The Revo is here to stay and to be another SM thorn in BB guys butts..just can't wait to see what Traxxas has in store next, i know I for one will have my cash in hand waiting!

I just re read my post, and noticed that I didn't make myself clear (my fault).
As far as being a tough, reliable truck, the Savage is just that.
If you want a quick, very nice handeling, lighter truck, the Revo is for you.
I wont argue that the Revo is a better truck for racing, but if you just want to goof around and bash you truck, I suggest the Savage.

If the question is "does the Revo live up to the hype" you bet, and then some.
This is just my opinion.

That thread made me lol. I am happy with the way my revo performs. Racing and bashing. I just dont like the way other trucks feel.
