Traded for this maxx V2 and quickly found it had a broken front upper/lower bulkhead and I nice gouge/crack in the chassis. I replaced all of it and swapped every screw I could with stainless steel. Also had a hot racing steel spur gear laying around that I was able to throw in it. I also got a standard servo adapter, a EcoPower WP250T servo with a hot racing servo horn and link installed as well

Nice!

My middle son has a Maxx and it's been a good truck for him.
Thank you, I got the crap end of the trade for sure. Partially my fault as I didn’t inspect the rig like I should’ve.

Glad to hear it’s been reliable. I’m excited to see what it can do!

Welcome to RCT!

Nice truck. But a bit about stainless steel - they will still corrode anywhere the stainless screws come in contact with aluminum. And stainless is a really soft, gummy metal. Not to mention the allen socket machined into them is typically shallower because the material between the socket and the actual screw shank is rather thin. And stainless being a much weaker material, they shallow that pocket up to make that area thicker. Bottom line, stainless anything is not good for RC's. It's heavy and soft, like lead is. So just be extra careful when removing stainless screws. The socket in the head tends to strip out VERY easily.
