After getting the stripped screw out I pulled out the transmission and took it apart. Bearings were ok. Found one washer that was completely chewed up. I might buy a new gear box. Maybe the RPM one or a hot racing one. Or maybe a whole new transmission. Proline 32pitch or traxxas 272R. Also going to get grease.

She looks dehydrated. Imo, if a tramny bearing has play, move it to the wheels and install new. I had to replace all 3 gears in mine due to a bad bearing. Ofcourse mine was brushless so it happened faster.

Those little composite washers in the Traxxas trans get chewed up pretty easily. I had to buy new ones for our drag Slash build. But I really dig the Hot Racing aluminum trans case.
