transmission on a 2wd slash, I've herd of people at the local track saying there using 300,000 oil or 500,000 in there, question is r u suspose to use that heavy of an oil, if so i got took at my lhs, I've got this product called dry ice, anybody herd of it or used it, i want something to keep my rear tires from spinning when going around corners.... anythoughts suggestions....

You might try softer springs, lighter shock oil, different shock hole on the arms or shock tower or adjusting your weight balance more to the rear, ie: move the battery back further. Do not try all of these things at once! try one thing and test if it helps great, if not put it back the way it was. Try something else next and so on until you get it under control. Forgot to mention try tires suited to the track or surface you run on, if in doubt ask another racer what works at the track or ask here. Good luck. AzRon

thanks for the info, i did forget to mention that i run a 7 cell 5100mah nimh flat so theres no moving the battery, unless you place the plug at one end... and try it i dont know.. i run on indoor carpet tack small oval with couple jumps... i have looked at getting new tires. but dont know which ones will work better.... looking at proline we can run the claibers or switches or the bowties in spec class..... i will try differant things out i guess thanks any info will help me out I'm new to the rc/racing thing still working on setups

have you tuned your suspension?

if its an oval, i'd be tempted to tryout an assymetrical setup ("stagger")

no never thought of ball diff... and tuneing the suspension i have no preload spacer and outer hole on the front with 2 hole piston and 50 wt and rear is 50wt 1 hole 2nd to last hole on on rear arms with the big preload spacer.... and what do u mean stagger ??? i dont know what you mean by that. to answer your question it is a small oval with couple jumps... i race the truck indoors on carpet......

Try 30 to 35 weight Losi shock oil (all brands are not the same) in all 4 shocks with 2 hole pistons. Set your ride height so the half shafts are level with the truck on a table with the battery in place.

You say all brands are not the same and how is that? How would you test shock oil?
