RC really calms my nerves, it's amazing and that's why I love wrenching and building them more than driving.
I just have to learn how to wrench on them and what goes where.

Besides the usual hex drivers, soldering station, and Dr. Emel stuff

I change out nearly all the battery connectors on my rc, so a variable heat soldering iron with various tips and a helping hand device is invaluable to me.
Also, if you play in the dirt, an electric duster/blower is great for cleaning between runs. Which could potentially save you problematic issues caused by seizing due to dirt and debris.

A duster/blower is something I need. Firing up my air compressor is a pain.
I love these things! I keep one in my car. I have a car wash membership, so I'm there about twice a week. I use these little powerful dusters to blow out excess water from crevices throughout the car's exterior, so there's no water marks when these excess water start working their way out when you start driving.

I waited too long to get a set of shock pliers. Very useful. On more than shocks. The steering posts on a aluminum chassis sometimes spin after breaking loose the screw. Shock pliers. Mine have the pivot ball removal & press pins in the handle. These pliers get used alot.

Oh, you got vernier's. Betting not many even know what they are, let alone how to read em. I am positive @332_RC does 😉

Nice soldering iton. Greywolf grabbed that. What a beast.
Not everyone's brain is on the same caliper as yours. 😝

I think they too are a must in this hobby.

The 80w. I got it for QS8 connectors and 8mm bullets. Need the heat. It's is a beast. Think it has 8mm (or 10mm 🤔) tip.

Yes sir. Learned on vernier before a dial. It wasn't until like I was in the trade a few years until digital was even a thing. Much less affordable. Got several vernier calipers at work. 6, 12, 24, 40. The shops tools. I'm the only guy at the shop with a step mic. I've showed it to a few when I use it- their like- what is that?

I learned vernier scales back when I was a youngster in my dad's wood shop. The very first time I used them in my job was with a 6' Starrett. It took two guys to measure anything with them, mostly because they were the really heavy duty ones. It was like carrying a 6' aluminum 2x6 around.

Pry Bar and Coaxing Tools...😂

It struck me as being funny. I had to share some dude and his bad day moment:
"MIP failed me...I need something else."
"Those speed bits are nothing but junk," he said.
I love it when they don't tell the whole story at first... 🤦‍♂️ :asshat:😂

I don't care what brand of drivers you are using. Of course, weird things will happen using them as a pry bar. Flathead screwdriver is usually my go-to when I need to pry something loose.

Speaking of coaxing, I used to have a small double-sided spatula to get underneath ESCs to loosen double sided tape and now I can't find it. I used that thing all the time.
