Hello my RC peeps. I'm getting ready to swap out tires on some ARRMA Dboots Copperhead2 rims. Something I've not done before. I've watched some videos but thought I'd ask y'all for any tips/tricks on removing the old tires and mounting the new ones.

You can roast them in the oven til they warm up enough for the glue to separate.

Ignore how she tells you to apply the glue back on the new tires. Here is my process...

After installing the tire, roll it around while squeezing it. You're trying to get the tire in its "free state", meaning you want the tire to relax, and not be stretched more here than there.

Spin the wheel on an axle or something and check for wobble and runout. Fix as necessary.

Then, when you have it as perfect as you can get it, gently pull the bead away, trying not to affect the tire's position, and use a needle tip on your tire glue bottle to apply the glue. You don't need much. You can also put some tire bands on if you want.

I usually use a heat gun. Go around the bead for 2 ish minutes on each side. Try to separate with a flathead driver. It's the cheaper inexpensive way and faster lol.

Most prefer using oven and roasting it or acetone fumes. But does take longer
