Holy crap that's a lot of chili. My wife is already about to kill me right now, it would be a sure thing if I had all of that! haha Looks good though.

Remember to add 1oz of bhut jolokia to the chili, gives a little heat.

WoodiE just pork sausage is normally what I use but for extra spice you can use ground Itialian sausage.

What's chilli meat? Pre-seasoned ground chuck or something similar?

Chili Meat is a coarsely ground chuck roast.

My Recipe:

3 lbs Ground Turkey
8 oz can Tomato paste
1 Can Rotel Tomatoes
5 tbsp Chili Powder
1 tbsp Cumin
1 tsp Paprika
1 tsp Sea Salt
1/2 cup minced onion
1 tbsp Chopped Garlic
1/2 cup water
Corn Masa as needed to thicken

NO BEANS! Beans are used as a filler and are not usually found in chili at Chili Cook offs. Sorry Guys, I'll get off my soap box now.

I made chili last night and loved it.

2 lbs ground beef, browned.
2 cans pinto beans
2 packs chili seasoning
6 jalapeno's, sliced
2 table spoons of crushed red pepper
5 cloves of garlic, diced
2 teaspoons of Tiger Sauce
1 teaspoon of smoke

Cooked it for about 3 hours....Had a hell of kick to it! and tasted great. Having some for lunch today too.

Dude the beans are the best part, lots of kidney beans.

when I make it, I freeze a couple bowls of it and then whenever I feel like chili down the road I don't have to bother with making it. This recipe makes 1 full size tall pot almost to the rim.:)

had chili tonight!! gonna have it again for lunch tomorrow!

had sweet cornbread with it!

I forgot the cornbread. I like to add a bit of shredded cheddar on top of the chili.

This thread is making me hungry and its only 7 in the am! Going to pick one of the recipes on this thread and try one of them this weekend. I love chili! Can't make it too hot for the Mrs. though. Any advice on how to kick up just a bowl of chili after you make it? That way I can have the sweat that I love with chili and the wife isn't complaining I made it too hot. Love cornbread with my chili too...or saltine crackers. I will have to try the peanut butter though... bet it helps cool the heat a bit.

Tom

Fresh chili for flavour and heat, dried chili for heat only.

We all love to eat....Why not have a recipe forum??? We can all swap recipes in there. (Woodie, if you had an icon of a smiley piggin out I would insert it here). If you do have one...I missed it.

Superbowl Sunday, what better time to make chili then now!!! :)

I'll be making my venison chili either Friday or Saturday, depends on when the meat is thawed.

using the same recipe again.

"hey baby, its really cold out, and the super bowl is sunday, how bout some chilli?"
