throttle problem

hi all,
in the last few days the throttle on my car keeps getting jammed and i lose control of the throttle i get thought about a 1/4 of my tank and it happens so i stop it and turn the transmitter and receiver off and it is still jammed in the braking position and i have to wait 1/2 a hour then turn it back on and start it and it is fine have you got any idea why it keeps happening

check the throttle linkage to see that nothing is blocking it, if thts fine id be a little concernd about your servo.

Since you suggested that "time" fixes it, I'd assume that your servo is dieing or dead. You didn't happen to get water in it did you? I had a couple wet servos act similarly to yours.

no i have just used it in a field i think the gears inside the servo may have shredded under the force of braking

Usually, when gears go, the servo doesn't work at all and all you hear is grinding when you try to use it.
