so I have a REVO 3.3 that has the optidrive box, I took it out cause it went out and looked up that u can directly connect everything to the ESC, is that a good idea or should I get the FOC conversion. And I also need to buy a new throttle servo as well, what is a good upgrade throttle servo

If you want reverse just be careful and not moving when shifting. If you have problems stripping gears that's when you go foc.

I think you mean recidver instead of esc?

So the direct connection is a good idea or do you think the FOC is a better option. And do u think I should buy a kill switch in case of signal loss or run away. And which slots do I hook up the throttle servo and shifting servo in, it’s shifting servo in ch3 and throttle servo in ch2 right

Go FOC. It’s a heck of a lot less trouble in my opinion. And, one less thing that can go out when you are trying to get in a session.

I’m biased. But, I don’t get much time to run my nitros. Often, it’s a spur of the moment thing aside from charging the onboard battery pack. What I’ve found out is that anything that can go wrong, will go wrong.

So, I took them out and haven’t missed reverse yet.
