This is my first rc truck its not much but just to get me started and to get me familiar with things, would i be able to use a .12 or .18 on this truck.

I've never seen one of those rigs, what engine does it have now?

.07 CXP is the engine. That's really small... not sure if it's footprint is smaller than a typical small block or not. Kind of like the XRay NT18MT. Except that engine is a .08ci and is a side exhaust.

I found a .7cxp, it looks side exhaust as well:

Either way, still don't know it's footprint. You may have to measure the distance between the mounting tabs and bolt holes on the tabs to see what you can find that will shoe-horn in your rig.
