I bought a slayer and now have a little experience driving it but i'm still not that great. My friends recently got into rc trucks, my one friend bought a jammin buggy with a .28 motor and my other friend bought a jammin truggy with an axial .28. Do I have a chance??? And if not what do i need to do to my slayer to open up a can o whup @$$???:boxing:

You may have a chance with top end on the truggy with the Axial .28......not a good truggy mill IMO. I had one in a Jammin CRT and it just didn't do it for me. Only one way to find out though.....go have fun.

If tuned properly you will have the top end advantage, but as soon as you need to go around a corner, its nightie night for you I'm afraid.
Soften up the rear suspension to get more drive out of the corner, as the Slayer will stand up when given the chance.
The .28's will eat you up in the corners but if you can arrange for there to be some straightaways then you're good to go....

I am putting the 17mm wheel conversion kit today, haha thanks for the input guys we are building a track at my friends house that has something for every body big jumps, whoops, tight corners sweepers and one big straight away haha. I see that traxxas makes a big block conversion, would that do some damage if i did that???

Face it, you'll have the coolest rig there. ;) Besides, theirs won't look as realistic as yours either.

haha thanks guys, i guess the only way to beat em is out drive em haha, these are there first cars and i have already had a couple guess i just gotta practice.

i think with a good setup, you ll do pretty good. the buggy will likely bet you both up pretty good, but I'm betting you be laughing your ass off anyways.

yeah my other friend just bought a slash and he seems to think its disposable, so he tries to play demo derby with us till my friend with the buggy got pissed and rammed him haha. He only broke the slash's rear wheel and spindle. I'm pretty much just in it for fun, we all race quads as well and i whup up on them all day and all night so i guess they gotta beat me at somthin:first_place::hehe:

I have a slayer as well, and it doesn't corner all that well. I adjusted the toe in, on the front... and gave it a little negative camber. Haven't messed with the rear yet but it handles ALOT better than it used to (or I got better at driving) It takes alot of skill to control a Slayer. So now, I rarely get past 3/4 throttle and seem to do better than when I would look for the opening to give it a full squeez.
