The Storm arrived today. I was like a cat waiting by the door so I could pounce on the mail man. :) Everything arrived safe and sound. HB did a great job on packaging it.

Here are a couple of pictures....

Any ideas as to what this is for?

Two thumbs way up for HB. The Storm arrived quickly and was packaged excellent. I wish every deal could go as smoothly as it did between HB and I.

Edit: I forgot about the subform for the Storm until after I posted this. Mods if you want to move it go ahead.

thats for your antenna tube.... put some fuel line over that and tube to help it stay on..

wtf is with the 2 springs per shock ? - homemade progressive springs??

I assume your asking about the spring?
Its to hold the antenna tube. The design is great. Make sure you leave the wire a bit long on the bottom side of the tube so when the antenna flops around it doesn't brake the wire.

I have seen the rig up close and in person. Its a great roller....

iT'S CAUSE buggy's Rawk ! racing or bashing !

I am going with the OS .21RG. I can pick one up at the LHS for $94 out the door. :)

HB is gonna be sorry he got rid of that rig. :D

I'd say enjoy it but I already know you will.

Let me know how you like that OS .21RG I have been looking at the sameone for my Inferno....I can't see spending $200+ on an engine I'm probably not going to "race" any time soon.

Here are a couple pics of my RG-X, Although I am sure you will get the 21RG and not the RG-X like mine, I wanted to point out a dremel mod that I had to do to get my RGX to mount in the chassis, I had to also grind down the bottom of the PS housing about 1/8" as well, If you got the non pull start, disreguard all that! You asked in your PM about the pinion gear, yes 13 tooth!
although I dont recall who makes the header adapter I hope the picture helps you Identify it, I'm am sure some one would know by looking at it, good luck! Awsome car!, you will love it!

Thanks for the pics. That has cleared up a few questions. I was thinking about getting the .21RG-X. I have a Dremel and i'm not afraid to use it. :)

The header you are using looks a lot like this one.

This is from TowerHobbies website. Its the O.S. Exhaust Header .21 RG-BX.

What flywheel are you using? The LHS has the pilot nut and cone washer. THe LHS stocks the Ofna clutchbells. Will these work? They have a 13T bell with bearings for $18.

The Ofna 13 T Clutch bell will work fine, I am still using the stock GS fly wheel that came with my mill, I say that because thats what NA gave me when I went to Orlando to pick it up! the pic you posted of my header isnt there, but I think you are right, its the OS adapter,Na tells me that this is the better header to use because of the extra beef on the head, Tightens down really nice and less likely to have any future leaks. Getting the RG-x wasn't as bad as it looks to fit, Of all the OS mills, I have heard that the RG-X has the largest(and weirdest shaped) PS cover, has kind of a weird bottom , youll see what I mean when you get it! Anything else, LMK!

Update, I see it know,, thats it!

Is there supposed to be a gasket between that header and the mill? I can't seem to find any info on this. Or is it just snug it down and thats it.

No gasket, youll see why when you start to tighten it down, I thought the same thing! Its a VERY snug fit!

My Sirio's have gaskets on the exhaust hole where the header's fit snugly onto. I am not sure with all engines, but for the ones I have seen have a gasket.

Hey HB,

I went to that link, and it shows the medium and the long springs, presumably front and rear, but not the short spring.

That buggy is real clean, congrats on a great deal mcvickj.

Thanks HB,
I just ordered the springs and silicon boots. It looks like there are boots on mcvickj's new buggy, do they work well?

Well after work I stopped by the LHS and picked up the rest of the parts needed to complete my storm. I hope I got everything. :) I didn't even realize that the RG came with an air filter so I will probably be taking back that Mugen air filter. Unless someone on RCNT want to buy it off me.

Before I started to assemble the clutch I just put the pads on for a test with the clutchbell and this is what I found.....

Now something tells me that the end of the crankshaft should at least be flush with the bearings, correct? If this is true I might not have tightend down the pilot shaft enough. What are you guys thoughts on this?
