I got myself pretty good with a brand new x-acto blade a little while ago in the abdomen. Super glued and butter flied and good to go. It was my own dumb ass fault, but I'm gonna blame this tiny crawler for it because I want the bumpers to look good. LOL I will never be angrier at anyone but myself, especially for stupid stuff. You'd think at almost 51 I'd have learned.

PS: I also cut my favorite hoody that I live in 24/7 this time of year. That pissed me off way more than my flesh wound.

I did the same thing cutting open a bubble pack on my brand new Blackfoot about 40 years ago. Stabbed the blade right into my left wrist.
No major damage, not even stitches.

I feel better about stabbing myself now!

Finally did weight tonight, went from 53/47 to 56/44 with just the knuckles.

So I 3D printed the bumpers and wheels tonight. Roughly the same track width as the Pro Lines. The wheels hold two HF washers up front and one to two (i did one) in the rear. Anxious to try this out.

The bronco body is out and the 620 is in! I simply used magnets and gorilla brand servo tape to attach the body. Servo tape sticks the magnet to the frame or body. It has been holding better than glue.

The front mount is just a small spacer to get my desired body height. Simple.

The rear was a little tricky since I had to cut out most of the bed for desired height. I designed and printed a mount that holds a magnet and doubles as a spare tire mount.
Still in R&D.

I drove it around last night and it still impresses me.
This will be roughly where the body ends up. The front has no shock springs so it is at full droop. Installing the rear body mount will bring the bed of the truck up a bit.

That pickup body looks fantastic! Is that gorilla tape just their double sided tape?
I'm trying to finish up my TRX4 with some beefier magnets. Hot glue doesn't keep them in the body posts so I was going to JBweld them in but have been hesitant. I'm thinking now maybe this tape would work better on both the post side and body side.

My T-Hunter has been sitting awhile without driveshafts and I have been eyeing its 55t 050 motor. I pulled it and slapped it into the Scx30.
Compared to the neo beast it seems to be stronger and smoother, and I will just come out and say it: mofo rc has always struck me as glorified run of the mill Chinese parts. I have spent my fair share on injora and mofo and I see no difference. Good stuff - just the same as the other guys.

Busted up the 3d printed “bobbed” bed. The file is just too thin and I think it is meant for a 24.

I've been working on printing some bodies and have seen the same thing. Panels, even one's designed for the 30, and super brittle and fragile. About to switch over to ABS and see if I have any better luck with it.

This is where the UV resin might help. I picked some up from a hobby lobby and laid it on a few coats. I am hoping this helps. My wife has a UV lamp for nails. I don’t know what spectrum it has and it does take 30 seconds to cure.
