The OS .30... is it a decent mill?

yeah that's a pretty generic description they gave there.....is it hardened aluminum or some crap like the RG...is it knife cut? is the crank turbo cut? is the crank intake filed or polished? edges beveled or just cut? Is the intake polished or left rough? the bearings and crank being oversized is pretty much the new standard now anyway....those are signs of quality made mills to me.....the timing/ports on the sleeve is just more or less preference.....I mean if there was a perfect timing to be made then every mill would basically be the same as far as timing goes....

I will keep looking for info on the O.S. for ya. I think I still have an article on the mill that was published in XRC. I will see if that gives us any more info. They gave it a 7.5 out of 10 and a celebrity rating of Rachael Ray.... I wouldn't kick her out of bed! LOL

Ok.. .but you are going to laugh... I love to cook so I watch alot of the food network... well when there is no football or NASCAR on. Rachael Ray has a show on there called 30 minute meals and it is one of my favorite shows. Comes on the Food Network every night at 6 and 630. You guys may now comence the laughing...... man I am such a :loser: LOL

Oh I've seen her show too....it's okay...looks like she does what I do for 30 min meals...just throw poop in a pan or pot and cook it the way you like...:D

no the crank is not turbo and the rod is square no polishing or filing pretty basic motor its not a racer its a bashers motor why would they put race features in a motor size that is not legal kind of a waste the guys that are into racing know what motors to run and which to stay away from a true die hard racer won't go buy a .30 size or larger as they know its not legal and they don't want all that extra weight a good race .21 size motor is hard to beat

yep.....the only mill I found to contradict that line of thought (I'm a firm believer in teh .21 being the size to stick with) is the Fantom .27......they don't last very long but DAYUMMN that mill can rev and pull......I'd put that up against a 421b if I was going budget style......they just don't get much more than 5-6 gallons maxx.......

Ok... so... it's basically a bored out 21 RG that costs $100 more. Figured as much. If I had the money, I'd buy one just to take it apart and post pics of it's guts. The extra c-note gets you a cool looking head and more power... I wonder if it really has a short piston/sleeve life?

I wonder whatever happend to KHB? They tried a funky piston/sleeve material, but they charged a lot for it. I don't think I ever did see a post from anyone that had one when I found them 4 years ago. Now their homepage is dead. Their price on a os 15 cv piston/sleeve was $150.
