it wasn't in the mail, unless you count me as being my own shipper. but complements of my uncle i brought these back from vacation. just got around to digging into them today. so far the oldest magazine iv seen is from 1970. and the newest 1996.

The FedEx guy dropped off a Tamiya Hornet Evo kit and a new AGFRC servo to steer it with.

I spent the day putting it together. It's only my third kit. The first two were Vanquish kits. This Tamiya was a whole different animal for sure! It has a vibe to it that I can't put into words and I'm starting to understand why lots of folks love them. I'm already itching to build another one.

I still have to trim, paint and decal the body.

My Horizon Hobby order came yesterday afternoon while i was running my Slash 4x4.

I got an aluminum bearing plate set for the VFD transmission in my Vanquish Origin Classic kit. I was a little disappointed that the Origin Classic kit didn't contain the premium aluminum parts for the transmission that the H10 Optic kit did.

My H10 Optic has a smooth and quiet transmission while the Origin Classic has the "Vanquish VFD Click". I've started gradually buying the upgrade parts and will eventually rebuild the transmission when I accumulate the parts I want. I have the aluminum stand-offs and the bearing plates so far. I'll get the aluminum motor mount plate and at least the front pair of machined gears in with future orders and will upgrade the tranny.

Good. I know they (Arrma) are known for durability. I’ve seen and read the videos and forums But this feels really solid. I honestly didn’t know what to expect from the smaller scale stuff. I saw/held a grom typhoon at PLBTF this last year and liked it especially with the VW bug body. Can’t wait to give this a rip outdoors. Now to make a ic2 smart balance lead to work with every other charger we have.

Unless there is some sort of balance lead "translator box", I don't think you can charge IC batteries with anything other than a Spektrum "Smart Charger", and I need to use an IC-2 to IC-3 adapter cable to charge IC-2s on my charger (it has IC-3 & IC-5 ports). If this is incorrect, I'd like to be corrected!...

I have read but have not tried my self or taken any voltages yet and forgive my lack of colors and hand drawn.

If all else fails or catches fire I’ll switch plugs on the ESC itself.

I also have quite a few of 18650 Samsung and Sony 20/25amp batteries I thought about printing a case for just to use them.

Thanks, I appreciate it, as a GS employee, I don't pay anywhere close to retail, so the price was quite reasonable for the number of tools included.
