I've lived in my apartment going on 12 years. In all that time I've never heard a thing through the drywall and concrete block wall from the neighboring apartment. New neighbors moved in and it's like non-stop furniture moving around or something. They've been in there 3 weeks. And ever since they moved in I keep getting my walls shook by a car stereo system. I know it's them. But by the time I look outside they're gone. And nearly every night their car horn starts going off for like 5 minutes. Not to mention the car door salute. A few times a day they go out to their car and the car doors slam shut at least a dozen times before they leave. Not to mention, Friday evening, Breydon was supposed to be on his way. My door opens and I see somebody outside the door, then they shut it. It wasn't Breydon. The next evening, someone starts turning my door knob. It's the neighbor's kid. About 6 years old.

Get him hooked on a really expensive hobby and then send him back to his parents.

I'm about ready to start running some nitro first thing in the morning.

Anyone having trouble with end-to-end encryption on Facebook Messenger? I can't see messages unless the sender happens to be on line and on Facebook. I also can't see previous messages. I tried following the instructions to restore the messages but it leads me around in circles... it gives me an opportunity to reset my PIN or get a 40-character code, but then presents no place for me to enter them to restore my messages.

This only happens on the MacBook I primarily use. I have an older notebook running Windoze and this doesn't happen.

didn't sleep for crap last night. didn't go to sleep until almost midnight and got woken up by a thunderstorm and high winds at 1:30. think i finally fell back asleep about 3. and my alarm clock scared the hell out of me at 5:30. so yeah... I'm going to be sleepy and more disgruntled than normal today.

For the past year, I typically would wake up at least once during the night. Sometimes I'm still sleepy and fall back to sleep shortly, and then there are times when it would take an hour. Supposedly this is fairly common with the getting old phase.

iv been a terrible sleeper my entire life, can't go to sleep, can't stay asleep. its always been normal for me to wake up at least a couple times though out the night. never any real reason for it. and it can take anywhere from a half hour (at best) to 2 hours to go back to sleep.
if it gets any worse i may just stop sleeping all together.

well its still 56 degrees out and windy AF and the boss just opened the back loading door. so i get to spend the next 6 hours in a cold wind tunnel.
On the bright side, that will keep the tiger mosquitoes at bay. You're welcome!

i think my boss may have pitched the calipers i keep at the CNC because they needed a new battery.
they should be sitting on my desk right next to the CNC, they aren't, i can't find them. and grabbing them, realizing the screen is dull as hell and tossing them is par his course so...
so now i guess we get to fight over who uses the jumbo max 12" calipers.

edit:
found my calipers. they were in a stupid place where they shouldn't have been. and no, I'm not the one who put them there. and the battery is pretty much totally dead now.
