i think the ignition module in the distributor of my bug crapped the bed again. it has zero spark. idk now it crapped the bed with the car just sitting with the battery not connected. i can't find a resistance anywhere but it's showing 4.7. the last time one crapped out it was showing 5.2. both windings in the coil are well within spec. soooo... i guess i get to spend another $50 on another module.
work on cars they said. it'll be fun they said.

The last 13 days have been a real test...
  • Blew my RC budget for the year (or next three) on a new furnace in the middle of the winter storm. Luckily, I was able to DIY it with help from my dad and his HVAC buddies. Saved a lot of dough.
  • There is 6 inches of frozen snow/ice all around us. I've been chipping away at my driveway for days. Our roads are still a mess. They've been plowed and cleared but there are a lot of places where the lane abruptly ends due to the way it had to be plowed. A lot of parking lots aren't even touched yet because they waited too long and it is solid ice now.
  • It's been below freezing for over a week straight. The cold weather KO'd the battery in my 1:1 Jeep.
  • My kids are on week 2 of school being cancelled.
  • The first time we left the house since the weather came was this weekend. We went to a neighborhood kid's birthday at an indoor roller-skating rink. That place was absolutely packed and absolutely bonkers. After being shacked up for a week, it was a total shock to the system.
  • On top of all these things, my work has been absolute chaos.

This winter will never be forgotten...it will never be missed!

My paint has been in Boise for the last three days.
I am 1 1/2 hours from Boise.
They upgrade the shipping status.
Moving through the network.
Snowstorm delays.
What fuggin snow?

They do that same crap here. As if we're unable to see the wearher anywhere 🤔

Even when you run a search "where's my package" , they give you the same crap.
It seems like every time I buy paint it does this.
Nobody around here sells polycarbonate paint.
The closest was in Ontario which is only 1/2 hour from me but we drove over
last year and they closed shop.
I have to go to Caldwell which is 45 minutes from me, possibly Boise.
My meds keep me close to the toilet so that's out of the question.

OMG 🤬 so much rain here, I'm getting bashing withdrawal....
I swear the UK has to be the wettest place on earth.. :( 😂
build a beater you can run in the rain. i did. a chassis you don't care about, "water proof" electrics, and boom, no cares given.

so the boss just came in sick as hell. and is now running around like a squirrel on fire. starting jobs that ill have to finish. that throws a massive monkey wrench into the rest of my day. i was told he wasn't coming in today.

Of course, the postman drives right past my house.
I guess, sitting out front singing: Wait a Minute Mr. Postman wasn't enough... you may need to add a dance routine.
:hehe:

My package is still moving through the network.
Again, I'm just under a 1 1/2 hours from Boise.
It's a short drive to my front door and no network that I'm aware of.
Only two traffic signals separate us and one stop sign.
USPS main warehouse sits next to the interstate and only one junction to take.
Well, that covers that stop sign.
Maybe he has sat for 3 days at the red light?
