I wish people would just let me build an rc car the way I want to build it and enjoy it the way I want to enjoy it and not nitpick at everything I want to do with it. It’s making me second guess myself and making me not want to pursue it anymore.

Well, if you would quit doing it wrong.... Seriously, it's your car, ignore the nay sayers. Be like the king, the Burger King and have it your way.

Spotify is jacking up the prices again next month. Family plan is going to be 21.99. they literally want your money to listen to music. But here's the twist. They pay artists practically nothing

Think it's time to start growing my CD and vinyl collection. Would do tapes but only have 1 cassette deck which is a old boom box. I'll just stick with what I have.

Also semi rant semi not rant but I haven't done any RC in the past 3 months. Last time I ordered something was back in October I believe. But since my Slash just turned 10 a couple weeks ago, took it out today for its anniversary run. Forgot how much fun it was to drive. Considering I haven't driven anything in practically 3 months ish.

there's a CD iv been keeping and eye on on ebay. it's a little pricey so i just hit watch and moved on. well the listing ended last night. its back up/still up today but it's 4 dollars more. I'm the only one watching it and its an obscure band that only people in of parts of Orange County CA in a specific time period will know about. and those people will probably already have it in some way shape or form (probably bootleg or MP3). so I'm like 1 of maybe 6 people on earth who would want this thing. and you're going to jack the price up after it not selling?

it kinda sucks working on your car when its 81 degrees and you have no shade.
also sucks when the chrome bumper is blinding the crap out of you while you try to insert a small bolt into a hole you can't really see to begin with.

but the good news is, the new alternator is installed on the bug.
i just have to finish tightening up a few bolts, install the carb, hook up the throttle cable, reinstall the back up lights/choke/dumbass solenoid wire, tighten down the distributor cap, install the alternator clamp, install the intake manifold boot clamps.

so there's a basketball tournament happening at the sports complex diagonally across the intersection from work. so parking is a nightmare and pedestrians are everywhere. there are signs posted on all the parking lots that say "no event parking" yet people still park in the parking lots.
this happens semi frequently. iv noticed something though, it's lower income people with "older" "well used" cars and clapped out beaters, and newer EV's or more expensive luxury cars that seem to think the signs don't apply to them.
i do find it amusing that people will park in front of the building but won't park in the spots in the alley behind the building. except for that one Tesla.

don't need to see the bank statements, iv seen there car, saw the way they were dressed, saw the way they carried themselves in public. it's not a stretch to easily reach the conclusion that these people are legitimately collecting government assistance.

probably more than some of those people make a month. i almost make more than every one else in the house combined. and I'm only stuck there cause a run of the mill 3 bed, 2 bath, is $800+k in these here parts. and that's for a nothing special "middle class" suburb. there are houses in my neighborhood that get listed at over a million and people get in bidding wars over them. and ill straight up tell ya, that kinda money in that neighborhood aint worth it. you ain't buying a house here on a single income and I'm single and that's probably not changing anytime soon.

I’ve spent far more on a RC then I have paid for a lot of vehicles I’ve owned my current DD car was my wife’s focus her parents bought went she went to college 20 years ago, the truck I bought from behind a dealership before they wholesaled it

I bought a whole Mazda (it wasn’t a Miata) one time for 75 bucks put an alternator on it and daily that for years until I moved, sold it to a buddy for the cost of the tires I had just put on it and he got few more years out of it

The dude was in the waiting room at the dealership and didn’t want to pay the diagnostic fee cause “the car wasn’t worth it”. I said I’ll pay it just bring me the title and he went out to the car and got it
