so a stamped i was bidding on on ebay sold early this week. can't remember what it went for, i want to say $60something. its now relisted currently has 0 bids and has a $50 opening bid. pretty sure it's the same seller. wtf.
This is unfortunately a very common occurrence on eBay and one of the many reason I won’t buy anything unless there’s a “buy it now” option.

My package says made in China, designed in the USA. I’m curious if he actually makes them in house and just sourced the parts from overseas or if he just buys bulk bearings from aliexpress and packages them up in a nice bag.

Maybe one of these days I can get a tour 😂
It's hard to find anything made in the US anymore unless it's sold for gold prices.

just found an RC10B3 on ebay, no bid, closes in 30 minutes. so far, $100  looks like its only missing the battery strap but has a home hacked in velcro strap. as i already have a T3 and a friend of mine in high school had a B2 with the B3 conversion kit on it. I'm having a very hard time telling myself "no"

If you cave and don’t win the auction, keep you eyes peeled for a Thunder Tiger Phoenix xb/XT. They are just rebadged rc10 t3/b3’s. I see them on eBay sometimes for next to nothing since a lot of people don’t realize Thunder Tiger is the parent company for AE. Couple pictures just to show the price difference between the two… probably the cheapest way to find a “vintage” b/t3 without paying the “collectors” scalper price.

I'm already well aware. my T3 actually has a Thunder Tiger chassis and rear shock tower on it cause at the time i couldn't find AE parts for a price i was willing to pay but the TT parts were damn near free. little different material and the chassis a little different around the rear chassis plate, but for what i use it for, who cares.
if i had a local track i could go to id be more interested, but my closest 1/10 off road track is over an hour away through LA traffic so I'm not exactly motivated. ...plus i already have 4 other "vintage" buggies...

Thunder Tiger definitely cheapened them up for the RTR market after the b4/t4 came out. I can’t believe it’s considered vintage now… they weren’t that old and were still being sold new when I got into the hobby the first time 😂 Does that mean I’m getting old??

as someone who bought a T3 new in ether 1998 or 99. no.

My daily rant is about the parts quality of stock parts from quite a few brands. It doesn't seem to make a difference from brand to brand - if you want a RELIABLE car/truck, you have to spend a few hundred on upgrading it. The quality of the stock parts are abysmal it seems like, and they cheap out on stuff that doesn't even make sense.

Winter Evening bearings? I buy from that guy all the time. Better than Fast Eddy, who sent me a bearing missing a seal with the one and only set I have ever bought from them.
I too bought from them a few times. Gonna order again shortly for the jato.

My rant on this mid week morning

It's been exactly 1 year since a major tragedy and they have not started demo/rebuild yet. Deff not gonna get done by 2028 at this point. I miss my bridge.

It's called red tape, if you want it done quick and right you will have to move to Japan.
