UPS will transfer some small packages to the local USPS for final delivery. Had one the other day.
Yeah, I know they do bud. The strange part to me is the fact that it says USPS is in control of it now but I live 10 blocks from the post office.
When they do transfer packages to the USPS it's already in town.

It's 9:20am est, nothing on news about Alaskan meltdown!

I managed to stay awake and the building(s) are still there. 😬 I’ll chop that up as a win!

You should have caused a tiny meltdown, so they would never have you cover that shift ever again.

Well heres the strange part, it's from USPS but has a 1Z tracking number which is UPS.
UPS handles the delivery to the local USPS distribution center.

When I open and hold a door for a lady, I expect a "thanks" or at the minimum a head nod or even eye contact.

Whats wrong with people?
Or am I expecting too much?

That's when you turn around and kick her foot so she trips and you don't bother saying sorry.

Hopefully she has big air bags. Had some lady walk in front of me the other day. Told my dad I'm glad we stopped. With the size of her bust we'd have gotten stuck with the wheels off the ground and needed to cal AAA. 🤣

Blokes normally say "cheers" or "thanks mate" but the females, especially the younger generation, just walk through with their head down, like I was not there. I see this more and more.

This feels like an old man rant but it's what I've noticed.

I can't excuse rudeness if thats what it is. We do have a generation of ppl who went thru covid at home instead of going to school and building social skills and such. Not the kids fault I think.
Our kiddos are part of that generation.
( only partially house-trained too 🙄) 🤣

But both genders went through covid, so I don't think that is the fault. It may be a parenting issue though. 🤷‍♂️

Just say "you're welcome" anyway. It'll learn them.

Yeah, my kid is 12, and he says thank you to me all the time.

This happens to me on some occasions. I respond with a, "You're welcome!" just loud enough for them to be able to hear me.

Yup. It usually gets a response.

Our kids are raised with please and thank yous. It irks me, when we're in restaurants with my wife's brother's 3 kids, who are the same ages as my kids, and they hardly ever use please and thank yous to the wait person.
My kids knows that I will say it loudly for them, followed by a stern stare. But, haven't had to do this since they were very young.

It especially satisfies me when they do a partial turn, but catch themselves and turn back to looking forward and speed up their pace because they don't want to make eye contact........because they know they were rude.
