First I wanted to say thank you to @WoodiE for hosting this giveaway!

I chose the Crest 8 ESC. After I won, I purchased the programming box from Amainhobbies.com

The package came with everything needed to get started, wire, sensor cable, a cap pack that plugs into the receiver.

It may be a week or two before I get to test this out, but Right now I plan on putting it my MT410 2.0 to run on 4s with my Holmes Hobbies Puller Pro 540l 2700kv motor.

This ESC is extremely similar to the Hobbywing Xerun XR8 Plus that I have. It takes up the same footprint and has the same layout. It seems that the only big difference is the HW is rates for 6s, while the Cayote is only rated for 4s.

That is weird that they only rated it that. I wanted to view the manual, but website left me empty handed. What are they hiding? 😁 :naughty:

I know they are new. I've seen pics of motors, but none are on their sight. They must be big enough in Europe to win a contract with Amain. Anybody here live in Europe? Go get us more info🤣

I decided to put the Crest 8 in my Tekno EB48SL. Right now I have it paired with a Hobbywing 4300kv motor running 2s. I should be able to make it to the track this weekend. That program box has so many different settings that I don't know anything about, but I was able to set the basics.

Nothing like hot solder and coffee in the morning.

I got the EB48SL to the track today running the Cayote Crest 8 paired with HW4300kv motor on 2s. All I can say is that it does the job and didn't catch fire. There are a lot of programming options that I won't be using. I honestly see no reason to switch to Cayote if you are already running quality electronics.
