.......have fun with those cheap packs........

I think backyard just needs to figure out exactly what he wants, inorder for us to make recomendations.

i have 3 of them i been using for a couple months now, they work great for me?

so does my cheap charger, well accept the fact i'm not sure if it's balancing or not. lol

It really depends on what cheap packs you buy from. The only ones I recommend are Yeah Racing LiPos (Made from Kokam cells just like Orion batteries) which are the cheap ones. I would really just save and go for a Maxamps though.

Buying used is very cautious. When buying used, you want to know everything. You need to know of any damages, any cracks or dings, how is the electronics (If any), the tires, etc. When buying new, you already know it's all going to be fine. I learned this the hard way. Bought a used Savage off of eBay, and I almost ended replacing everything on it, including the engine. So be careful on what you buy used.

the only 2 rc's i bought new was a e flite indoor heli and my evader buggy... the rest of my rc's i bought used, if you buy it used you save money "look for a good deal" and fixing them is part of the hobby.

my evader bx got a hpi 5700kv brushless system, and 2 s lipo,
my vendetta has a castle creations 8000kv motor and 2s lipo. i bought it used for 150 with the brushless system, lipo, and a charger for 150 also got a 3000mah electrifly 2s lipo.
my evader st is ready to go and i have 2 3s lipos on it, it's running a 4300kv e/z run system. there the same lipo's i posted the link to but there 3s, they were running a sale if u buy 2 but it don't look like they are anymore.

he can either buy a decent truck like the one everyone mentioned, or he can buy a cheap roller from someone and customize it the way he likes... i had a picture of my evader st when i got it, it had no back wheels/tire, and the cheap electronics since then i put better shocks, the e/z run 4300kv system, new wheels, tires, and the 3s lipo.. total i prob. have 210 bucks in it including the cost of the truck.
tires 20
wheels20
lipos 35 with shipping
e/z run 80
truck 40
full bearing conversion 15

and i'm bout to buy another one ready to run for 40 bucks

get the 1/16 scale e-revo brushless edition real great truck took one around the track at the hobby shop handles real well and didnt break i loved it

Your links don't work.

FYI to everybody else, he's trying to post an E-Revo and an E-Firestorm

Firestorm is not going to be as STRONG as you are looking for and an E-Revo is well over your target budget of $300, especially once you add in a couple battery packs and a charger if you don't already have one.

You're still comparing apples to oranges and your own suggestions aren't even within the limitations that you've set for yourself. You're taking neither your budget nor your desire for a durable vehicle very seriously.

Seriously..... no one can decide what you should get, you ask opinions, we give them, you move on to somthing else. I'm all for helping ya out, but when you ask an opinion, then say no, id rather this, it gets quite frustrating.

hey srry bout all that its just its hard for me to make money and i want to get the right truck for me

An xl5 Rustler on 8 cell nimh would keep ya busy for a while. Universal Smart Charger's go for $20 on flea bay. $40-50 bucks a pack, at the very least. The truck, 2 packs and the charger would put ya right around $300. You could always make your own packs, too.
