I have polished a few parts, steering posts and hinge pins. The process takes off a small amount of metal so I'm sure it part of it, but after polishing my suspension was smoother.
I'd prob give it a shot. You have new bodies on the way already right? Just go as lightly as possible so you don't make the bore larger.

Just when you think you got things figured out... an oversight appears. Having the larger/correct shock stand offs for newer shock caps would help. Gotta make another order.
