I tried it with the spektrum radio, but it wouldnt work correctly. But at least the top speed of this thing is only like 15 mph, so i could easily catch it if it runs away.

lol, even a turtle would go faster then this rig...
''Stranger'' (lol ),I'm the baddest of the baddest :starwars:

Hey bartek, quit the name dropping please.

But i do see your point about speed, however, as its a "SCALE" rig, it wont be fast. Unless an uprated motor is fitted that is. Brushless LiPo Anyone ?? :hehe:

looks good alpine
i have a 35t and 3s lipo in mine and it moves

If you just breath a bit on the throttle until you max out I'd say you might get away with it and not strip the gears... or burn it up. Alpine knows about that lol

Good looking build! With the 3 speed tranny these things are torque monsters, if your not planning on racing the stock motor will get around just fine. It still amazes me how slow it can creep up steep inclines!

Once you drive it with the diffs locked you might re think 4ws, turns like crap and lots of play in the steering linkage.

Got her pretty much done, will post pix tommorrow. Just gotta wait till body is done paint, final install of electronics, and make some adjustments. Too damn tired. Going to bed.

So you think yes on the 4ws?

Hey alpinehyperlite,
I have a F350 that I just got about 3weeks ago or so I did alot of mods to mine bit it was used when I got mine w/13 coats of paint on the body but it was like it was never ran everything was tight like a shelf queen just couldn't make up their mind what color.
Any way i was gong to tell ya use a Traxxas TQ3 w/ the 3rd channel mod and you will be able to shift it in all three grears.
Hears mine

Also if ya want tosee the mods go to http://s150.photobucket.com/THETOYS thats my photobucket the first 2 or3 pages are the F350 enjoy

While your waiting on the body maybe try a little steering mod that will get rid of that complicated linkage. Got to the link and scroll down to step 24-27, it's a good pic of how to put the steering servo next to the shifting servo and use one solid link for steering. I haven't done it yet but I read up on it (can't find the link) you need some 7mm spacers under the servos so the arms will clear the chassis, the pic should show you the rest.

I don't care for the end result of this truck but he did some killer mods on it!

Just gotta wait till the body gets out of paint, (tommorrow) and install the electronics properly, and do all the adjustments with the spektrum. Kinda got it figured out.
I wana find a light kit for it, and also am waiting on the rims to get in from fleabay.

Imma go to the fleet garage to pick up some new lights for my unit, imma sneak into the paint booth and see if he got any progress on the body.
