So I finally decided that I was going to build this thing.

I then discovered a picture of Rolex in the manual............ If he were Japanese......

The long and tedious process of building the tranny. All I got done so far. Took bout 30 min to do this much.

LMAO!!! Good to see the kid cleaning it so thoroughly.
I built a lot of the early 80s Tamiya kits, and enjoyed every one of them. Midnight Pumpkin, Frogs and Grasshoppers. I built the 911 4WD Porshe for a friend, and it took me 36 hours of build time. Loved every minute of it. They made some great kits.
Glad to see you're doing yours. Enjoy it.
 
Looking forward to this! Takes me back to my ol' Grasshopper. There is something about those kits--RTR's are great and all but nothing is more frustrating *er* fun than building it...
 
So the woman let me get a lil more done. Got the tranny almost completed.

Nice start there Alpine, Tamiya is where I think a lot of us got are start, I built a Grasshopper, A Frog and my favorite of the three I built A Hornet, which was just an upgraded Grasshopper, Can't wait to see the finished build...
