£350 ?? i take it that includes radio for that money ???

nope,no radio,no battery or charger just the truck and ESC with motor but their motors and damn slow, max speed on those things is like 10mph if not less, they are heavier then 1/10 scale nitro trucks at least I got told that and they are powered by a single 540 brushed motor, that's ain't moving motor,it's rolling :snooty:

no radio, no charger, no battery, no servos, no reciever, no esc, just rig, and motor. And its not made to go fast, its a scale rig/crawler.

Thanks NC i think I'm gona.

Its gona get used. When i find the time to find somewhere/some people to get some scale courses going.

A little piece of advice here, get rid of the bronze bushes and replace them with bearings. The bronze bushes will sap your power and shorten run time and you will only change them out later on down the line after the have worn, wishing you had done it in the first place.

I do it as a matter of course with any tamiya product, saves a lot of hassles that are far from being needed.

Damn, you're cruising right along! Hey. have you seen the junfac diff covers? They're pretty sweet, and a little smaller to help with ground clearance.

Definitely a very good suggestion. I believe Fast Eddy sells a bearing kit for that truck.

Thanx NCNitro.

I just can't stand seeing someone spend untold hours building something up, only to strip it down again to do something that should have been done to start with. it's heartbreaking.

Tamiya should supply bearings as standard in somethig like this truck, it really does need them.

I was thinking of doing the bearing kit for it, but decided I'm not going to be using it too too often, so I'm not that worried about it. There are a ton of em on this build though. Damn

Update: She can stand on her front legs:

Thanks for all the words guys..

I been thinking bout the bearings, but i am making this thing waterproof, and that just dont seem too smart to me to put bearings in it, I've got the diffs packed full of grease, and pretty much sealed off. Picking up 2 traxxas waterproof servo's tommorrow, and gona use a XL-5 waterproof ESC, just gotta figure out how to proof the reciever....... probably a balloon.

Got her standing on her own, and drive line complete.

You can use a balloon or a product called "Plasti Dip" to waterproof stuff. if you use the balloon trick, seal the "open" end with silicone, thats about as water tight as you'll ever get then.

As to bearings, you can get bearings that are shielded. but eitherway, you still need to clean out the water and relube, so its entirely your choice.

Ehh, I'm just gona use the bushings. lol. got about 7 hours into the build today, and 2-3 last night, so its comming along quite nicely. The tranny was just amazing to see how it all worked. I'm burnt out for a while. Going get sum food, might come do some more tonight..

Oh, and the shocks on this thing were the easiest i have ever built. No fluids......

no fluids ?? just shafts and internal springs ?

Is that...no, it can't be surely, but........... er......... is that 4 wheel steering i see ??
