Bought a new tmaxx 3.3 (4907) last month. I went through the break in process by the book. Everything was running fine until I started it yesterday. I started the engine and started playing around on some flat ground. After about halfway through the tank of fuel I noticed it started to loose power. When I hit the throttle the RPM of the engine rev up and it does go but it picks up speed slowly (no spinning out just gradually accelerates) when it gets up to speed it will not shift into second gear. Just wines really high and stays in first. I have tried leaning it out about 1/8( because excess fuel was comming from exhaust). That didn't help so I tried richer still same. I tried to set the HSN and LSN back to factory setting (HSN- 4 turns out LSN-1 3/4 turns out) still no love. At this point I believe it doesn't have to do with needle setting. It was about 45 degrees out this day but I haven't had a problem running it when it was that cold on other days. The motor has just under 1 gallon of fuel through it. I have kept a close eye on temperature and it is usually around 230-240 degrees. There was one day it ran up to about 280 but I immediately shut off the engine and richen the needle. Any advice would be appreciated.
