hey guys so i was at my friends house today and was in his garage out the corner of my eye saw a nitro truck. i asked him about it and he said it was only a few months old but wouldnt start so he said i could have it if i could get it running. now its the new traxxas t maxx with the 3.3 forward and reverse...

when i got home i charged the ez start and plugged it in to start, the engine did not want to crank it would make a quick half crank and then stop like it was seized and couldnt make a rotation. so i pulled the engine off the truck and was able to crank it with spining it with my fingers and there was compression with rotation. i soon after saw that the ground cable was lose and thought that was my problem, so i assembled it ready to start. but that was no good it did that same thing..... i pulled the ez start motor off the truck to see if that was the problem but that would spin once i press the botton..

I'm really stuck with this one guys... have i missed something? any ideas would be great thanks

Is the engine fully broken in? Will the engine crank with the glow plug wire disconnected. Have you tried cranking it with the glow plug loosened 1/4 turn? Is the EZ-Start battery weak?

You might want to open the engine if all that stuff is all good and make sure the con rod is good and to make sure there is no rust or corosion from sitting out there... good luck and that is a hell of a deal !!!

ok so i figured out that the ez start motor it self had crapped itself. so i assembled the truck back to start it up now it just keeps cranking and wont kick over.... hmm what a challenge to start this thing.. now if there is compression in the motor itself shouldnt it start ? very stuck with this one here
