I recently got a storage tote and 5 gal bucket completely full of mostly nitro parts for free. In the tote was a few chassis and other parts and motors.

2wd slash chassis
3 bandit chassis
Traxxas blast hull
Part of T maxx 2.5 chassis

I had almost enough parts to finish the T maxx but wanted to convert over to electric because that is mainly what I run. I also have an Exceed Madstorm 1/8 nitro that I had to rebuild the motor. Any tips on the conversion will be very helpful. Thanks

The best advice I can give...... forward only conversion. It's a wider gear with more bite and your electric motor has reverse. It's also lighter weight.

Congrats on the score.

When I did one, I did the single speed and forward only conversion on the transmission, then found an aluminum motor mount on Amazon (no longer available) I could make work, simple vertical plate needing two screws to hold it on the chassis. Drilled the holes for that and mounted it to the side of the transmission, put a battery tray across the rear. ESC mounted up front on a scratch-built tray.

Good luck, in the end it was a lot of time and some small expense to convert it and it still wasn't as fast or nimble as my E-Maxx.

I was thinking about doing the forward only and single speed conversion but wanted to see what other people did.
Thanks for the advice, much appreciated
