First off this is Canadian $$. I found an emaxx on Facebook marketplace for 175 so I jumped on it as I already own one. My first rc 25plus years ago was emaxx. I was thinking of all the upgrades I could do till I saw it. I need opinions on leave it as is. The green body has no holes. I guess the guy sold Hummers and ended up with one. He had no clue about them

I am going to put hummer body and wheels on it shortly just to see it. The green body doesn't even have holes in it it is perfect. I have seen what people are charging for original bodies

My original plan was to go brushless but now I wonder if I would not be better to leave it and sell it to fund new project
I would keep it stock. Novak esc are rare. And just keep it. It's a piece of Traxxas history. I'm afraid you would get low balled on selling it. I love old rcs I have several I just collected from traxxas .15 ofna, ld3, to schumacher menace.

Yeah bro. Just leave it stock. Them vintage trucks are amazing.

I am taking your advice I am keeping it and leaving it the way it is. I put batteries in it and took it for a rip around my yard. I love it for being so old thought it would be boring but it goes pretty good. I am going to just drive it nicely and take care of it. I got lots of toys to abuse and break

I find it very enjoyable restoring old RC's. From the hunting for parts, to seeing it brought back to as close to new as you can get it is pretty rewarding. I brought a Losi XXX-SCT back from the parts pile, with a few mods. This is as it started. It had a few parts that were in need of replacing, and being discontinued for quite some time, it was a hunt to find things, but a lot of fun.

And here she is, almost new, with extra spares on hand. The gear cover was tough to find, but I managed to find aluminum shocks, front and rear sway bars, and lots of replacement OEM plastic bits.
