ok so what you are telling me is the lst is not as tough and requires more preventative maintainence....doesn't sound like a beast to me....not sayin its not a fun truck but why would you want something that you have to always inspect before you take off....

That's not at all what I said.... :hehe:

I would say the LST is probably THE toughest truck out there IF you do your preventative maintenance. And honestly if you don't inspect your models before you drive them.... /facepalm. You should probably find a different hobby.

I like to get my bash on too, I don't take it easy on my trucks! https://www.rcnitrotalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=89319

i agree a prerun inspection is surely a must...IDK...when i read it it just sounded like you were sayin that it requires more attention and maintenance than others...

nice vid BTW it looks like it preforms well....

don't worry you'll have more.

In due time I'm sure you'll get a chance to own more. Trust me this hobby always has is wanting something faster

I'm no pro but tmaxx is a more for bashing and revo is more racing but could be a basher i have never driven savage so i can't say anything about it

I'm no expert by any means but I've seen a Revo get beat like a red headed step child! Its tough trust me. We got a few in our group and they handle great and can take a beating. There all going to break sooner or later with the right hit or wrong landing!

I'm new to the hobby and kind of lucked into it. Back in 2000 or somewhere around there my dad bought a tmaxx pro 15. He beat the hell out of it for a couple years. He had a bad accident in '05 and the truck sat in his shed till last year. Full of gas and all. I finally got a hold of it a couple months ago. I ripped the whole thing apart, cleaned the engine and all the components. I got it run ing about a m

month ago. All I needed was a steering servo. It still has the original TRX pro .15 and runs great! The only problems I've had so far are because of my inexperience. But I'm learning as I go. Just thought that I'd put it out ther that traxxas will hold up over time. My dad only bashed and fixed when broken. Not the way I'm handling it at all. I do after run maintenance as well as the occasional tear down to clean and inspect.

Revo is much more fun than the tmaxx IME.

Also, you can still buy a new Aftershock for less then the price of tmaxx...

OK.... So why is that? Do you own a Tmax ? I only own a Tmax but for me to say its way more fun to drive would than the others with no experience would be absurd. Forums are funny that way though. Maybe you own both i dont know and prefer the revo but i would like to hear why "its way more fun". lol If thats the case i better get a Revo because my Tmax is a riot to drive!

nobody has dropped a tmaxx down have they??? just curious because I set mine up so many different ways and when it is low to the ground its an animal... just my opinion. I have never driven a revo so I can't compare but i love the maxx trucks I have a few I might try a revo later on down the road myself,,

I own a revo and an atershock and have a buddy with a tmaxx. The revo is tops in handling.

Cut the shock shafts.

No, seriously, the T-Maxx has adjustable suspension points. If you put them on the most narrow settings on the top of the towers, and the widest points on the A-arms, it will lower it a significant amount. Other than that, I'm not really sure. I'm sure there are other tricks.

I did that already after my second rip down. It kept wanting to flip on me before. Definitely better since I put my shocks on an angle. I saw one guy said something about zip ties. I figured I'd see what other methods there were. So where should I cut my shocks? Lol

I am trying to find my reciept or the package to find the set of shocks i put on my classic and those dropped that down the right set up and you could have them sitting almost as low as an rs4 3evo.

Thats a good idea!!! I never thought of that...... You see thats why I love you guys..... always some new ideas... That would have saved me 80-100 bucks on shocks... Oh I also switched springs off a redcat volcano because my son wanted my red springs so I tried his springs and I havent flipped it except for over backwards cause of the gas or frontwards from the brakes
