Switch from Brushed to Brushless?

We have four of these little Beauties! We race them on our back yard track. What a blast! First thing I did was switch them to 2.4ghz (so the girls can race at the track without hassle). But I was wondering if anyone has converted the brushed (which is what we have) to the Velineon setup?
is is just a matter of switching the motor and the ESC? Or is ther more upgrading to be done? I was thinking that (as they wear out motors, etc) this might be the way to go.

There are better options then the Velineon if you go brushless. The esc and motor are pretty much the change but then I would go lipo battery too. Just my opinion mind you.

I liked the vxl-m3 in my 1/16 revo, it was smooth and very fast! I agree with grumpy about the lipo battery, it gives you loooong run times. When you upgrade one of them you will have to upgrade them all, as soon as they see one on brushless compared to the one that is still brushed the brushed one won't be as fun anymore!

i can't give you any 1/16th scale brushless systems, but i can tell you that its basically just a motor/esc that needs changing. LIPO is a must tho for brushless. personaly, i dont see a speed difference with comparable brushless and brushed motors (ie. 27 turn brushed, and 17.5 brushless) the huge advantage is that you dont need to do verry much maintanance with a brushless motor. with a brushed motor, you have to cut the comm. and shange brushes all the time. brushless is great for someone who dousnt have the right equiment or time to mess with brushed motors.
