My little cousins birthday is coming up and Id really like to get him a plane. Everytime I fly (Well attempt) hes really interested so I figured this would be a good chance to get him into the hobby. Trouble is, I'm not real up to date on electrics since all of my are nitro. I figured electric would be the way to go for him. I want to get him a decent one, but not looking to spend alot of dough. Anyone have any suggestions on a good starter plane for him?? (He's turning 13. He has a mini-t and has drove my savage a few times fairly well, so he has some time behind the rc wheel)

Something like one of the HobbyZone Firebirds might be good for him. They're a simple design. Inexpensive. A bit limited when compared to a full-house plane, but they would certainly get him in the air.
If you're looking for something a little more plane-like, consider something like the Multiplex Easy Star or maybe a GWS Slow Stick. They are both easy enough for a beginner to fly.

Don't know what you looking to spend but here's something that may interest you......from the video, he's flying in some wind, looks to be a good plane. A high wing as well, always a good idea for first time flyers....thought about one of these myself for lazy days....lol
