I just instaled XP home for a friend.
How do I set the boot up so it doesn't go to the choose user screen?
Just want it to boot up to a chosen account.

I'll look but I think as long as there is only one username and no password, it should auto log to that account as long as you have "use the welcome screen" checked in the logon options.

Ok, seems as though I am correct. The only thing I left out is that the user must be part of a workgroup, which it should be MSHOME as default. Might help to have Guest accoutn turned off.

there is a way to make win xp log in without even showing the user icons and login.. after you do the updates and things it will have the user icons even if you dont have a password.. if you want to remove this let me know..
