Erhow about just using a heat gun. so you can concentrate the heat to a localized area without damaging the finish. :rolleyes:
Anodize atarts to take damage around 175°. I thought it was around 250°.
 
aluminum heats up faster and expands more than steel when heated, so 150 degrees should be good. that's what i use for putting gears on shafts at work. that's steel on steel, but a room temp shaft and a 150 degree gear and its a slip fit (although i usually result to smacking it with a rubber mallet just for good measure)
