getting a little fed up tbh. been struggling with trying to pull 2 pins for almost 3 months now.
i cannot figure it out. its above my paygrade at this point.
I've made a few posts about this issue to no avail. maybe a vid will help. but as i rewatch it i get dizzy cause the things so dang shakey.....
grr fml
vitavon axles, theres a pin in the knuckle going down INTO the axle housing. its stuck. I've tried 3 different needle nose pliers, i cannot find a set that will bite with enough force to hold it. too much is beneath the housing. I'm beating my head into a wall. is entirely way too much money sitting there for me to just let it sit. I'm gonna have to take it to a hobby shop 2 hrs away then pay 25 an hr to get someone to remove it.
please help...

That’s strange. I’ve never seen a pin like that on Viravon knuckles. I just went and looked at the exploded diagram of the Vit Ryft axles and don’t see it there either.

Heat that sucker up with a torch and yank it out.

What’s the bottom side doing? Also stuck?

If it's got some kind of loctite acting goo on it...maybe a couple drops of acetone to dissolve it and try to pull it again. Might damage the copper paint ...
nah thats ground up grass, i installed em, no locktite there

is only the one on the top of each knuckle. its wierd, mines different from the option available now, i need the old style schematic apparently?
the torch no problem i got that on hand, but the yanking it out is the whole problem lol, i can't get enough of a grip to yank

it looks like its what keeps the knuckle itself attatched, the grub screw just keeps that pin from flying out.
Did you put that pin in?
yes i did, it slid in no problem, but then i happened on a trail and gotta repair now I've got some sort of fusion going on ruining my good times.
no locktite or any gripping agent was added, i DID add a small dab of the blue to THE GRUB SCREW. I'm now guessing a little got pushed out of the grubscrew and got down into the pins chamber? makes more sense than most other conclusions I'm coming to

If heat doesn't work, what about pulling the axle and putting it in the freezer a couple hours....
i havent tried this yet, ill throw it outside tonight and let her sit see f that helps

I'm starting to think i may have let some blue in the groove like you suggested, but i swear twas only a drop on the grub itself lol

Worst case it looks like there is enough pin sticking out to slot with a dremel and use a flat blade screwdriver to turn it before you pull it. Probably would have to replace the pin. But if it comes out that's half the battle.

There should be a grub screw perpendicular to the pin somewhere. Or was that top screw holding it down? Is there not another screw on the bottom? Your camera is so all over the place I can't tell what's going on.

jeebus woulda lookit all that locktite on the grub!!! clearly I've locktighted this mofo in. think a soldering tip set to 400 would bust it loose?
i wouldnt imagine too much got in the chamber, but i didnt think there was any like a dumb SMH :facepalm::facepalm:

at 1:32 it looks like you can see the bottom of the pin. use a small screwdriver or a pick and use the axle for leverage and pry on that sucker see if you can get it to pop up and come out (?)

That's 1:32. ?

Looks like a steel pin in aluminum knuckle. Stainless in particular can cause galvanic corrosion siezing the parts together. Soaking in high quality penetrating oil for 24 hours can help loosen it. Kroil is good. Freezing, and or heating will likely need to be used.
