Try using a hair dryer or heat gun to warm the engine, new engines are real tight (good thing) and warming them up will loosen the pinch and let it turn over easier. Also make sure fuel is getting to the carb, plug the exhaust and turn it over a couple times while watching the fuel line. If you still can't get it to fire pull the plug and make sure it's lighting. Let us know how it turns out, once you get it fired be sure to break the engine. If you take your time during break in, watch your tune/temps and perform after run maintenance you should have a fine running easy to tune engine.

Here's a good thread for tuning.

I've been doing the hair dryer thing, but how long should I let it blow on it? .... also I've pulled the plug and its lighting with it just in the starter. I've also cranked it without the plug in in case its flooded. How tight should I be screwing in the glow plug? also that little copper ring, should it be there .... glow plug --- copper ring --- engine

Thanks

I'm gonna go "blow my engine" hahahaha .... Let me know how long I should heat it for

You're gonna want it pretty warm from the dryer, I'm not sure of the time I use a heat gun so it gets hot fast. Yes you want the copper washer there, without it you will have a leak and never get a good tune.

Does the flywheel sound loose to you guys?

Cuz when I pull my traxxas s engine, I can not hear any metal meshing sound other than the engine tries to turn over, plus it seems too easy to pull.

Or u might not be pulling it fast enough, short quick burst is what want, don't have to pull the line all the way out. Hope this help.

Try putting your finger over the tuned pipe & give it a few pull's then retry starting the engine it might turn over then
