I have a T-maxx 2.5 with a pull start. I can not getting it started to save my life. I have tried changing the glo plug, and have messed with tuning. What else can I do? Any good tricks for a novice? Also, how do you know if the glo plug starter is working?

.

Ok
first to prime you engine
hold the muffler the end of it and pull the pullstart a couple of times
until u see fuel running into the carburator
then insert your glow plug igniter and do sharp quick pulls like 7-8 at anytime
sharp quick
if not start
make sure ur glow plug igniter is fully charged!
if your not sure.
remove the glow plug using the wrench from the cooling head carefully
insert it into the glow plug igniter if the coils turn bright orange then its fine
DO NOT TOUCH THE COILS OF TAMPER WITH IT

if you have done all this and stil does not work
adjust ur tuning
or i dont really know
I'm not a pro
but this is what i did when it helped me

hope this helped

:D

if everything looks good ist just what n17ro said..its your glow igniter...i always think my engine is wrecked or i have an air leak so i got through hours of checking and it turns out my igniter isnt charged :P

Well I'm not sure if it was the priming, or making sure my glo plug starter was fully charged, but I got her up and running! (I have a feeling it was the priming). Thanks for the tips and advise!

Now I just need to learn how to say no when peeps want to drive my truck. I let my brother in law take it for a spin and within 3 seconds he slammed it into the house and broke the wheel off! I was pissed!

Here is everyone's responses about letting other people drive your rig Who drives your nitro besides you?.

There aren't many of us that let others drive our rigs, not cause we're jerks but because there can be hard feelings if something happens. Next time someone asks, just ask them if they have the money to replace what they break and inform them that a good crash can cause $100 easy.

lol .. first time i let someone else drive my rs4.. just after i put my brandnew carbon fiber/engine setup.. the guy flipped it off the parking lot in the rocks 4 feet down below after bout 2 sec of driving it too.. lucky am i ,it was fine after... ironicaly ,he crashed his 2000 subaru legacy into a pole shortly after...totaled the car...

i must say he deserved it and now i realy thinks its funny even though its pretty mean..... HAHAHAHA
