I want to get into electric rc but not sure what to get I have around $300/$350 to spend I want something off-road and best bang for the buck thanks guys!!

Traxxas Slash is a awesome first time and experienced RC. You can buy it as a entry level and as you get better all you got to do is buy different more powerful lipo's. It comes as a beginner skill level 1 and you can upgrade it to a skill level 5. I'm thinking the slash starts out around $299. It's really the best off road do anything kinda truck out there in my opinion. That's what most people are racing too if your interested into getting into that.

Slash is a solid recommendation for that price for running on a track but my personal recommendation for offroad bashing not on a track is the Rustler. Either way though youd be fine and with a handful of the right parts you can convert a rustler into a slash or visa versa.

For $300 it's hard to beat any of the Traxxas rigs, Slash, Rustler, Stampede, or Telluride. All solid off-road rc's that come with everything you need plus good customer service and you can find parts for them anywhere!

I have Raptor and i am happy with it :)
Traxxas slash is not in his price range and he also have have to buy accessories in near feature when he will start hobby.

Where are you getting your prices from, and what accessories will he need (Slash is RTR)? A 2wd Slash is well under his $300-350 price range, it would leave enough $$ left over to grab a decent charger and extra batteries. The Traxxas Slash is well known for being a great starter rc; it's pretty durable in standard form, easy to work on, and has a ton of aftermarket support.

Like @SchrodeMode said, the Slash is well within his price range. Horizon Hobby has it for $209.95 (http://www.horizonhobby.com/product...slash-2wd-rtr-with-24ghz--red-body-tra58024t1). That is for a ready to run version.

Well that's good for you, as most people have an opposite opinion, especially after owning an off-brand RC.

Thought someone might of mentioned something from HPI. But does the budget include batteries and charger. Or whatever comes with the RC.

In his price range they offer the Wheely King, Firestorm, and the Blitz, for the money the Stampede or Slash would be the better buy as they come with everything and parts are easier to find.

Not only can you buy a nice rc in that price range but heres proof that you can have extras, you have to learn to shop!

y no start something good en 1st palce so ur no replace parts that shood be good but not then spending money on fun upgrades latr, cheep junk not wotrh bying not wotrha thr trubbble. pisse me off

I also would recommend steering clear of the bullet and the wheelie king. Blitz and firestorm arent to bad although Their Traxxas counter parts would probably have more aftermarket support.

Let's just be honest about HPI....the Savage is a good monster truck, I wouldn't buy anything else they are making right now. Not saying it's all junk but there are other rc's in the same price range that I would buy instead

Its pretty true...Outside of the savage and Baja, the only other good kits they have are the RS4, maybe the trophy kits and the D8/D8T and when it comes to buggies and truggies better can be had for about the same money.

I forgot about the 5th scale stuff, probably because I'll never have the $$ for one.

Are the RS4 and the Sprint the same? I don't see the RS4 in there line up anymore. I had a Sprint 2 and I wasn't impressed, IMO my Associated TC3 was built better, easier to tune, and just handled better.
