So I want to run a starter box on a single 4s battery will a Deans ESC Loop Jumper Plug Lead Connector close the one end of the Y and make it function correctly?

Deans ESC Loop Jumper Plug Lead Connector
Lot of random RC words there, but as long as the box motor is getting 4s then it should work. Given the box motor is rated for 4s.

Pictures or diagram could help solidify

It’s a protek 4500 and it says you can run it on one battery with modifications

And yeah I should have put a picture of it but spaced that completely.
It has a Y that has 2 deans connectors one has black wire and red wire the other has both red wires iff that helps

Yep, so if you just have a deans jumper (anything to complete the series circuit on one side of the Y. Basically short one end to the other) and a 4s battery on the other deans, you should be good to go

Battery Note: The SureStart comes equipped with a Y-Harness power lead to accommodate either two 2S LiPo or two 6-Cell NiMH batteries. You can however use a single 4S LiPo battery to power the SureStart, BUT some modification is required - you will need to remove the Y-Harness power lead and re-solder a single T-Style connector to the power leads.

Thank you very much. I thought it was common sense but just wanted to make sure from someone that knows for sure.

Bro i made my starter box so all i have to do is hook a battery to it and bumb start ran to leed wires oit sidecthe box and then you can hook any kind of small lawn equipment battery to it
Yeah I was going to run it off my car battery with 10amp alligator clips like we did way back when. But found a 4s LiPo for 33 bucks so went that route instead.
