Hi All I need Same help today my spur gear got riped off and the car was not going could you please tell me what the problem is. Thankyou

You will have to be more specific and at least tell us what car you have. Then someone will be happy to help you.

the car is a thunder tiger. The engine is a PRO-12BK and it is 2 speed

Ok, so your spur gear got ripped off and the car was not going? I still need more info I don't get what you're saying.

I'm guessing the teeth on the spur got stripped. You'll need to replace it.
If that's the case, get a new spur for that model, and if you need advise we'll tell you how to change it.

Thanks for that I ordered the spur gears why do u think this happens.

thankyou

Usually from improper gear meshing. It takes practice and patience to do right. Use loctite on your engine mount bolts. You'll have to loosen the bolts and slide the engine around to line up the clutch with the spurs. You want them as close as possible, but still be able to spin them freely by hand. If it does not turn easy you are too tihgt. If only one spot feels tight, leave it be. It will wear in.
This would be a good time to inspect and clean your engine clutch components. Replace grittly or worn bearings and if the shoes are worn down to the spring, replace them as well.

Thanks for that guys I will be geting the spur gears soon.why do u think this happens. Thankyou

the way i do it i take a reg copy paper, 004 in thick, cut a strip as wide as the gear. the back lash should let 1 thickness go through and be VERY wrinkled. then use a receipt paper, .002 in. it should be less wrinkled. the gears should spin free. dont over tighten the engine screws. general every time you flip your truck, you should check the gear backlash, cause most likely the engine will have moved.

This is on a T Maxx: With the tank off, I put the engine screws in ever so slightly snug, with the truck on its side, engines weight(via the clutch bell) on the spur. Then use a light tap or two on the block with a rubber handled screw driver(handle on the bottom of the mount, tapping the other side with a tiny hammer or another screw driver) to put it where it needs to go(the gears as tight as possible while still having some play, give or take a slightly tight spot or two). Then I crank them babies down until the driver twists a little bit(be careful not to strip them!!!). Doesn't take as much torque to tighten them with a ratchet. Finish putting the truck back together and wait about an hour for the locktite to dry and let 'er rip. Simple, huh??:)
