Looking to boost your race game? ProTek RC just dropped the Spencer Rivkin Edition 2S 130C 4800mAh LCG Shorty LiPo, and it’s packed with features that scream performance. This isn’t your average race pack—designed with input from World Champ Spencer Rivkin himself, it introduces a slick bottom pocket built specifically for the new ProTek RC battery weight system. Dial in your balance and center of gravity like never before, whether you're tearing up 2WD mod or staying sharp in stock class...

Cool idea and I know it's been tested and proven because of top level drivers, but for average guys like me just wanting to have fun, not totally needed imo.
If I truly needed more weight, Id just tape down coins to my battery and send it lol.
Actually did that once to help me pass through tech.

Sure but I think that could be said about most things geared with racing in mind when compared to the hobbyist / backyard bashing / having fun.

The weights seem a bit expensive to me right now. Maybe I'll feel differently on the track. 🤷‍♀️

I'm happy to see more shorty pack options on the market. 👍

I know I would be into adding weight in certain areas when situations calling for it. Another fancy/cool tuning aid with "pro" name on it. Win on Sunday, sell on Monday is how I think the saying goes. I had brass sheets and Reedy's steel battery tray weight set for stick packs in wish list for my SC10s. They handled best with an extra 4oz. in the right places.
