Howdy do,
I picked up my Spektrum DX8 today. It's plugged in and charging right now. Love the blue orange glow from the On light bar graph.

Since were on the subject Rolex, what do you think of the Flysky TH9X? Thats what I bought for my helis cuz I love my Flysky GT3B for my basher kits.

I've upgraded

Yeah, the DX7 is nice too.
I upgraded from my current Spektrum DX6i to this awesome DX8.

It's quite a jump up.

Rolex, how many three way switches does the DX7 contain?

As I eventually want to add Align APS to my kit, so I needed at least 2, three way switches. this radio has many other cool functions.

Although, I didn't buy the telemetry model.

Greywolf, I can't really say, but I've never heard anything bad about it. My theory is always to spend for the best when you have a whole lot of money going airborne. I got that advise from guys at the field who absolutely swear by Spektrum. Wow, just wish I was willing to drop the coin for a 12 or 14 channel just because they LOOK so cool. :D
Something as important as the transmitter and receiver, kinda' scares me when it's a discount product.

(one 3-way for flight mode)

Yeah, thats a good point but I've had such good results with the Flysky GT3B I decided to give that one a try. That and I'm not 100% sure if I'll even like Heli's or not yet so i didnt want to get in to deep. I dont have much money wrapped up in the Belt CP so I guess it will be a good place to start....hopefully next spring. I'll let you know what my impressions of it are one of these days when I have some lol.

You should be happy with it. The more you use it the more faith you'll have in it. If it never flinches you're good to go. 3 of my helis are worth over a grand each, but my biggest concern is the hundreds of hours I have in them.

1 Three Way Switch

Nice, but with only one 3 way switch, I need a minimum of two.
The DX8 has 6 three way switches.

Thanks Rolex, simply awesome...

You've already gotten out of my range with heli and radio, so I strongly suggest you sign up at http://www.helifreak.com/
That is the absolute WORLD encyclopedia for RC helis. I'm a member there and use them routinely for new info with every build.

On this site helis are a side line for a few members, but over there they're specialists in every aspect of every heli and part ever made. It's not unusual to have over 1500 members on line at any given time, so you can get your info quicker and from dozens of guys who have the precise info through experience.
As much as I'm into helis, I'm a total newbie dweeb on that site.

Rolex are you implying you actually use your helis instead of just waxing them? I'm feeling a little faint....say it aint so! :p

Rolex,
If you frequent the 700 E section of HF, you'll find me there.
I've been a member there only since October. Ah, but have gained much knowledge and acquired a few awesome new friends along the way.

Honestly, I've found RC heli pilots are 'often' kinder and gentler than regular RC runners...
You may include your kind self in that awesome group too.
