After looking a while I'm not convinced the losi8ight t is going to off road like a revo or savage. I wish it
Had a 2speed tranny. Losi handles better than savy. Such a decision... Any more input? Wish i could
combine the 3..

The XXL handles better than the Savy in terms of turning. Savy is stronger out of the box but neither kits need alot to make em super tough. The Revo handles well also cuz of its LCG but its much more fragile and requires more upgrades to it to be durable. I think overall HPI and Losi make a better quality kits than Traxxas although Traxxas is still hobby grade. The Savy is probably the lowest cost option out of the three.

Which is faster?. Which will hold a tune better?. Which has the better motor. Which has the better
Drive train/diffs. I do like the dx3 that comes with the xxl. If i can get feedback that would be great.
Once again i want to make the right choice..

The XXL has the best stock motor...I know the XXL and the Savage both have diff upgrades that make them extremely tough. IDK about the Revo diffs. The XXL definietly comes with the best stock TX. I mean theyre all monster trucks. I own an LST2, a XXL, and a Savage. Never owned a Revo but I have driven them. My personal favorite is the LST2/XXL but you can be happy with any of the three. Faster isnt really an issue with MTs stock they all go about the same....usually 30-40MPH stock....If you want speed Id get the XXL and while its new Id take the Engine (which is a rebadged LRP .28 spec 3) and send it off to Robin at Extreme RC Mods and have him mod it for more power. Then when you have the money Id get one of his exhaust pipes for even more power.

Thanks for the details on your feedback. Losi wins!!! . The only thing i dislike is parts availibility.
Most lhs have a small section if any parts except traxxas. HA HA mabye thats because they aren't
Needed...

XXL, longer and I believe it's wider as well. It also comes with the 454 and Spektrum DX3S.

I don't think the XXL is any wider than the LST2, if so it is very minimal. But as shrode stated, it is extended, which helps keep the front end down.

The difference between the LST2 and the XXL are....
XXL plastic shocks instead of aluminum bodied
XXL is slightly longer, same width (only parts that changed with the lengthening was the plastic "sides" of the chassis, the main chassis plate itself, and the drive shafts are slightly longer. as far as I know all of the rest of the chassis plates are the same as the LST2.
XXL has no hi/low gear selector on the tranny
XXL has different rims
XXL has the 454 (.28) engine in it, the LST2 has the 427 (.26)
XXL has a Spektrum DX3S TX, The LST2 came with an Old school FM JR TX.
XXL has a different body
Thats all of the differences I can think of.

Its kinda hard to say which one is better. The original LST is old as crap and I believe it was quite a bit different than the 2 so I would shy away from it because part support for some of the parts that are different than the LST2 could be hard to find. The XXL has a little bit better engine in it and it comes with a newer fairly nice radio system in it. I like the aluminum bodied shocks from the LST2 though and the LST2 is a little bit easier to find after market bodies that will fit it. The XXL is so big its hard to find bodies that fit on it and look proper. Not impossible mind you but more difficult. Id say the added length may improve handling but if it does its just a smidge and thinking back on driving both of my kits if there is much difference in handling I'm having a hard time recalling it. They seem to be basically the same to me in that department.

IDK if it were me, Id buy a XXL and convert it over to use the LST2 chassis and buy some LST2 aluminum bodied shocks for it. The shocks probably dont matter much as I've never really heard anyone complain about the XXL plastic shocks but thats what I would probably do if I didnt have one of each already.

Yea I wasn't sure, I was also leaving so I had to....+1 to my post count lol.

I just bought an e-lst2 roller for $170, and paid about $100 for my first lst2 roller. You can get the lst2 rollers cheap as dirt and the only parts that aren't interchangeable with the xxl are the side rails and main chassis plate. I am extremely happy that I bought the 2 lst2 rollers, because I can use those parts, and then get one or two backup xxl chassis, in case I run out of LST2 chassis. You can buy an xxl chassis with bulks and pins with all the plates new for $50 from ebay. then buy an lst2 roller, and there you have an xxl roller much cheaper than you would any other way.
