Here is some interesting info on the big earthquake. There is a link at the bottom of the page to "tsunami amimation" of the wave spreading - its no wonder whole islands are wiped out.

If you look at that spread of water.... it happened in less then 5 hours... i can not even begin to imagine the choas and horror that is taking place there.
