To answer the question,they can't. They undersell to intentionally hurt the US. But having said that,there is a lot of greed in the pricing of a lot of US made items. I know that for a fact since I am on the manufacturing end of things and know lot about what it cost to make things.
Plus, a lot of people in the manufacturing business make pretty decent money, as opposed to what some poor schmuck overseas is getting paid. How that happens exactly I'm not sure, a lot to do with this history of the American economy I suppose. I have a good ole blue collar factory job and I make a pretty decent middle class buck for my labor. It's no surprise to me as to why some of our products are so expensive. However, Randy is right. I have a general idea of how expensive some of our products are and quite frankly it's pretty rediculous when you start comparing the difference in the the costs to make versus the less expensive products. Definitely some greed there, but, supply and demand I suppose to some extent.
