Thanks Diver, nice post BTW, and I agree with all you said.
It was not my intention of having this thread turn out like this (another socio-political slugfest). But I guess that's what happens when anything remotely resembling politics gets posted, unfortunately military service and honors often gets rolled up in that category. I am guilty of interjecting my opinion in my last couple of posts, though I am not going to edit or change anything I said. The sad fact of what makes this country so dynamic and great is the fact that everyone has (and can state) their own opinion with utmost freedom and without the fear that the secret police will cap them for saying anything anti-American (with a few exceptions). It's a double edged sword though, it cuts both ways. Some people hold the American dream in high stead and count their blessings, others dwell on the negative and try to wallow in self pitty and put this place down for all that is "bad". It's not perfect, but it's a hell of a lot better than most of the world.
I have a sneaking suspecion that this thread will eventually end up in the FFA section, and that is sad, it was supposed to be a thread of positiveness and warm fuzzy feelings.
