Well I am just wondering what are some of the first things to upgrade? I am already planning on RPM arms and rod ends.

RPM gear is worth the money, also get the RPM chassis brace/bumper - extremely tough!
Maybe get a new set of tyres - rears especially.
I'd also recommend getting the associated shock rebuild kit and the associated green slime. my shocks leaked pretty bad from new.
Also try putting some thicker weight diff oil in - this will help with the rear end traction.
all up there isn't much more you need with this truck, unless like mine, your motor cooks and melts the solder off the wires

get team parts...I got this chassis brace it is cheap and really tuff..

also maybe get the alloy shock caps, different tires are a must.. I love the goosebumps.:thumbup1: it all depends if your going to race it or bash it?

really nice^^^^^^ i think I'm going to fab one together for my BLITZ :p

If you dont have a brushless setup with LiPo batteries, do that first.

Some cheaper hop ups to get:

1. New tires (rear tires for sure, fronts if you have the money) - Goose Bumps, calibers, or bowties are all decent choices.
2. Chassis brace - RPM makes a good plastic one, or go with a carbon fiber one that you can find on ebay.
3. Cut some vents in the side and back of the body - will allow for better air flow and help the sc10 fly better
4. Milled motor plate and heat sink - get these if you have any probs with motor temps
