As a SC10 pro4 owner, I am shocked to see the exposed driveshaft on the Traxxas slash and related trucks. Is there a way to prevent crap from entering there??

Some SCTs chassis allow stuff to fly out better. I just let 'er rip. Go faster. Turn sharper. Jump higher. Roll more.. true story.;):p😁

If you're talking about the center drive shaft tunnel... there's not an easy way, you'd have to build a shield between tunnel and diff.

I am shocked to see an SC10 owner buy a Slash in the first place! 🤷‍♀️🤣

I had to have a Raptor R...basically a slash

I will probably do something with a brass tube and some O-rings...

My Stampede used to get rocks stuck in between the center driveshaft and the chassis. A zip up chassis cover? A Slash is 4 high yield shovels with a bucket in the middle. A chassis cover is necessary or they fill up with crud.

Jconsepts makes a lexan cover for the Slash. The two covers are the same just cut differently.

I plan on not beating this truck very much...just tearing around on pavement and hard packed dirt.
If that's your plan then I would keep it simple and just go with a chassis cover. Both the lexan and mesh covers work equally well. I use the lexan covers on my Slashes because they're visible with the body on and mesh covers for everything else.

I've never had a problem with dirt being stuffed in the forward drive shaft hole. I don't see it being an issue. Chassis covers retain a lot of heat, for your first few runs I would recommend keeping track of your motor temps.

doing a net... cooler fo-sho

I had a rock almost cut through the aluminium shaft multiple times. I did run exclusively in an abandoned quarry though :)
But still, all the shafts failed on one of the ends first, they just open their petals, a beautiful sight.
